Gadget Gears is an American born costumer, designer, and cosplayer. She started out in theater, where she was trained as a costumer, makeup artist and starred in several leading operatic roles. On Broadway, Gadget worked as a stitcher/dresser on multiple tours, including the “Phantom of the Opera”, “Wicked”, “Les Miserables” and the 1st National Tour of “WarHorse”.
In 2007 she fell in love with cosplay because it not only allowed her to create beautiful costumes, but to create things that defied expectations, tell stories, and challenge herself in new and interesting ways. Ten years later, Gadget and her cosplay partner were able to put this passion on display as they represented the USA at the World Cosplay Summit as Undertaker and Ciel from Kuroshitsuji.
